 37TH STEVESTON KARATE TOURNAMENT

It was the first kickout for the year of 2010. As usual, many of karate-ka from Canada and USA, got together at the Steveston Tennis Court for the 37th Steveston Karate Tournament.

Shoseikan Team had 10 members for this tournament. With the great efforts of everyone, we achieved a total of 21 medals, Congratulation to all of you.

 ZONE 5 TOURNAMENT RESULT

It was Sunday, December 13, 2009. Many of karate-ka around Greater Vancouver area got together at the Zone 5 Tournament. With the snowfall warning in Greater Vancouver area, the Shoseikan Team were arrived at Hollyburn Country Club in the morning with the warmly heart.

The showing of Shoseikan started at Team Kata, 18 years up.  Gary Wong, Andrew Chan, and Henry KC Chan teamed up and achieved the first gold medal. [

 PROMOTION TEST #2

Saturday, October 10th, 2009 was our second Promotional Test of the year, held at our Richmond dojo. It was one crowded event, filled with guests, students and Sensei. The dojo was filled with people before class started, as everyone was warming up or getting last minute training. It was a three part test, basics, kata and kumite, held at 4:30 pm for 90 minutes, the students were split into two groups. [to be continued here]

WE ARE NCCP CERTIFIED!

Shoseikan Canada is proud to announce that beginning September 2008,  all of its instructors are NCCP certified. NCCP is the recognized national standard for certification in 65 different sports including karate.  Our aim is to continually provide our instructors the tools to deliver a karate program of the highest callibre.

CHILDREN FITNESS TAX CREDIT
