 SATO CUP 2013

Team Shoseikan has two kid members attending the Sato Cup 2013 at BCIT on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Both members, Janice Kok and Athena Chan were participated in the 7 years old girl Kata division. After several bouts, Janice received the Gold medal and Athena received the Bronze medal. Congratulation to both of you, your hard work has been rewarded. 

 KARATE AT OLYMPIC OVAL

Shoseikan Karate is going to have Karate classes at Olympic Oval, the high standard facility for sports and community. Our instructor team, which has NCCP certified qualification and very experience in Traditional Goju-Ryu Karate and Tournaments, would gladly to provide the high levels of Karate training at Oval.

Spring sessions: April 9 to June 18, 2013:
Ages 9-12: Tuesday , 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Ages 13-17: Tuesday, 7:00pm to 8:00pm

 ONE GOLD AND ONE BRONZE AT PROVINCIAL LEVEL

On November 17th and 18th, was the Karate BC Provincial Tournament 2012. It took place at BCIT, Burnaby. All participants were coming from all areas of BC, getting together and complete.

Shoseikan Canada Vancouver dojo, had 3 participants in the Provincial Tournament in this year: Tristan Mah, Nicholas Chan and Tommy Cheung.  Unfortunately, with recent injuries, Nicholas could not make a good result in the tournament. However, Tristan received a bronze medal in Boys 14-15 Intermediate Kata division and Tommy received a gold medal in Men 18/19/20 -78kg Kumite division. We are very proud as this is the first gold medal of Shoseikan Vancouver dojo at Provincial Tournament

It is a very good result and congratulation to all participants. Let us provide a great support to Tommy to the path of National Championship.

 

 OUR KARATE KIDS GOT PROMOTED

Our Kids class members had a great test on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at Vancouver dojo. It was glad to see that all participants were working hard and tried their best.  With great efforts and spirit, all participants had a great time and got promoted. Presentation was done on Friday, November 16th, 2012 by Sensei Vincent. Congratulation to all participants.

WE ARE NCCP CERTIFIED!

Shoseikan Canada is proud to announce that beginning September 2008,  all of its instructors are NCCP certified.  National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is the recognized national standard for certification in 65 different sports including Karate.  Our aim is to continually provide our instructors the tools to deliver a Karate program of the highest callibre.

CHILDREN FITNESS TAX CREDIT
