2007 Promotion Test #2

- by Eddie Au

It was a sunny and hot July 6 evening but most of the students were kept cool by a strong breeze that circulated through the dojo.  Everyone who qualified for the test arrived on time and soon the dojo had a buzz of test day excitement.

The exam started off a little differently than in the past as our two newly promoted black belt recipients were presented with their very own black belts complete with their names embroidered! Congratulations to Vincent Wong and Andrew Chan ?our new Shodans.

The examination started with the white belts and worked its way to the higher belts. After two hours of basics, ido, katas and kumites, everyone finally got a breather.  As they left for home, most students were confident that they put in their best efforts but nobody knew for sure.  Who is able to move on to the next kyu?
