1ST ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION PARTY

It is a Jam Packed August at Shoseikan Canada

On August 25th, Shoseikan celebrated its first birthday! The event was attended by Kancho and the team of karate experts from Japan.  The dojo was transformed into a fancy reception complete with candles and table glitter.

We are proud of everyone who demonstrated what they have learned in their first year.  Highlights of the night included a bonkai demonstration by Kenji Sensei and Yuki Sensei as well as our first wood breaking demonstration by our green and black belt students.

Congratulations to our Award winners!  Our Champion of the Year Awards are given to our students who demonstrated outstanding performance at competitions.  This year’s winners are: Eddie Au, Andrew Chan, Henry KC Chan, Kyle Ohori and Jerry Zhang.

Our other award is the Member of the Year Award and is given to those who best demonstrated the spirit of Shoseikan Karate.  Our awards this year went to: Eddie Au, Andrew Chan, Henry KC Chan.
