All-Japan Shoseikan Karate-do was founded by Ishihara Kancho (9th Dan), which was one of the top students of Gogen Yamaguchi. Shoseikan was established in Chiba-Prefecture, Japan in 1968.

Since 1971, Ishihara Kancho traveled around the world, including America, Canada, Hong Kong, South Africa, to promote Goju-Ryu Karate. Ishihara Kancho formed the World Shoseikan Goju-Ryu Karate-do (WSGK or WSK) and now has over 30 Shibu Dojo in Japan, America, Canada, India, and Dubai.

Canada Shoseikan (Vancouver), the first World Shoseikan’s dojo, was established in 2006, under the direction of Henry Chan Sensei.

OUR GOAL

To teach traditional Japan Goju-Ryu Karate-do, which includes: Ceremony, Etiquette, Kihon (Basic), Kata (Form), Kumite (Sparring), Self-defense, Weapons...... etc.

Though Karate training, to assist the student to achieve fitness, confident, values of respect, harmony, self-control, discipline and responsibility.
