Goju-Ryu, Shotokan, Shitoryu, Wadoryu are the four largest major styles of Karate-do. We are the Goju-Ryu. “Goju-Ryu” literally means “Hard and Soft” style. In Goju, we emphasize both hard and soft aspects of martial art. The principle of Hard and Soft, like Yin and Yen, is the principle of life. To be the whole person, one must keep a balance of Hard and Soft. As a Karate practitioner, one seeks to develop a strong and unyielding will power, but at the same time, must maintain his compassion and caring for the others.

It can never say which one is better, since you are comparing an apple and an orange. It is the same that you cannot say soccer is better than basketball. We suggest that you do more research on both to understand more.

That is not true. Goju-Ryu Karate has both punching and kicking technique. More than that, we also have elbow, knee, hand-knife, hand-hammer, open-handed technique... etc. Please note, Karate does not condone violence. Karate-do is a way of not having to fight. As we said in Karate: Novice fights to win, master win without fighting.
