ABOUT SHOSEIKAN & SHOSEIKAN CANADA
|

|
All-Japan Shoseikan Karatedo was founded by Kancho (Chief Master), Katsutoshi Ishihara, and was established in Chiba-Prefecture of Japan in 1968. Since 1971, Kancho Ishihara has traveled around the world to promote Shoseikan and Goju-Ryu Karate. In a result, International Shoseikan Karate is formed and presenting the worldwide Karate development. Currently, there are over 50 Shibu Dojo in Japan, America, Canada, India, Pondicherry, Chennai and Dubai.
In 2006, the first dojo of Shoseikan Canada was established in Vancouver by Chief Instructor, Sensei Henry Chan. Sensei Chan is the direct student of Kancho Ishihara, with the high standard of Shoseikan Karate.

OUR GOALS

To teach traditional Japan Goju-Ryu Karate-do, which includes: Ceremony, Etiquette, Kihon (Basic), Kata (Form), Kumite (Sparring), Self-defense, Weapons...... etc.
Though Karate training, to assist the student to achieve fitness, confident, values of respect, harmony, self-control, discipline and responsibility.

WE ARE NCCP CERTIFIED!
Shoseikan Canada is proud to announce that beginning September 2008, all of its instructors are NCCP certified. NCCP is the recognized national standard for certification in 65 different sports including karate. Our aim is to continually provide our instructors the tools to deliver a karate program of the highest callibre.

CHILDREN FITNESS TAX CREDIT
