We have just completed the first tournament of 2012, which is the 39th Steveston Karate Tournament on Saturday, January 28, 2012, hosted by Uchiage Kai.  It was an amazing day of good competition, show of heart, camaraderie, and mutual respect shown across the dojo!  From tiny tots to half-century aged, every participant gave it their all and it showed!

Although we had only 9 athletes attending in this tournament, we have received a total of 25 medals. Congratulations to all the winners. Thanks Gary Wong for taking pictures. For more, please

VISITING ZENBUKAN CHUK YUEN SOUTH DOJO, HONG KONG

As a Karatedo-ka, you should know, a properly instructed Karate program will help you get in shape, lose weight, relieve stress, gain confident, make friends… etc.  All these are the valuable treasure that you would gain while learning Karate. I’ve visited many Karate dojo around the World, but not many that could give me a feeling as same as Zenbukan

On January 5,2012,  I visited
Zenbukan Chuk Yuen South Dojo (Hong Kong), which is directed by Sensei, Eddie Lo.  Lo Sensei is young and open-mind, and is one of the knowledgable sensei that I’ve even met.   The atmosphere in his dojo was very friendly and self-motivated.  His attitude in Karate reflects from his students, not only by words, but also by action.  [continues here]

5TH ANNIVERSARY DINNER & 2011 AGM

This year, we had our 5th Anniversary Dinner and AGM at Golden Sea City restaurant in Richmond, BC.  It was a great success!  The food was great. The performance was excellent. And the prizes were endless! Everyone had a great time!  We got the opportunity to see what the students have learned throughout the year.  It was amazing how much all the students have matured and improved; even the karate kids.

A special thanks to Uchiage Sensei, Hayashi Shihan, Alan Chan Sensei, Sunday Lau Sensei, Mr. Brian Hampson and Mr. Henry Beh as our special guests. Also, thank you for all parents and friends who showing their support to our growing association and for spending extra time with us.  We definitely look forward to the next Anniversary Dinner and AGM.
